Wow, can you believe that we are already knocking on the door of July! There are predictably 2 times of the year that are considered peak times for Job seekers and they are March/April and August/September. There are various reasons for this, most dissatisfaction by employees. In the March/April time, it is due to employees coming back from Christmas and realising their job is no longer satisfying them in the way it did in the past. In the August/September they are looking for that same change and in Australia it is partly due to the long distance between long weekends employees start to feel the drudgery of their job. Now is the time to have a look at your Resume and ensure it is in tip top shape just in case that 'job of a lifetime' is advertised.
2016 has certainly taken full flight. Do you feel the wind rushing through your hair even when you are standing still? Can you believe it is the middle of March already? Before things start to get out of control, make sure you take some time for yourself, take some time to slow down and do an activity that you really enjoy- escape, even just for half an hour. Dont let the busyness of the day take over the month, or the year - before you know it we will be in December saying Merry Christmas - it's not that far away!
If there is anything that is holding you back from being the very best you can be, it is you and you alone. I highly recommend this 3 day workshop, I have done it myself and the benefits have been amazing for my personal growth.
Just because your Job details are listed, doesn't make it a 'good' Resume. A 'good' resume lists some day to day tasks, some monthly activities as well as some of those more major projects you have worked on by yourself and as a member of a team. If your Resume is more than 3 page NO ONE IS READING IT!!! It is too long and boring. If you have 2 pages with current and relevant information, that is far more valuable than 4-6 pages. When you go fishing, you don't throw a big fish over the side and expect to catch a fish of the same size. You place some key bait on the hook, and catch the big fish. A Resume is a fishing trip, some people will like the Snapper and some will prefer Flat Head.
