DVCS provides 24/7 crisis assistance to people affected by domestic violence within the ACT, ph 62800900.  For an emergency response call police on 000. The Domestic Violence Crisis Service provides all people affected by domestic violence within the ACT with crisis support, including crisis counselling, safety planning, referrals, support groups, assistance with emergency accommodation, court outcomes for family violence matters, assistance applying for a Domestic Violence Order and support for children and their families.  

We assist all people affected by domestic violence within the ACT regardless of age, gender, race, religion, culture or gender or sexual orientation.

After reaching out to Canberra's knitting community, more than 20 people have come onboard to help with the project. ACT records rise in domestic violence victim rate

The ACT has recorded a spike in victimisation rates for family and domestic violence, according to new statistics. The rate leapt 33 per cent - to 240 victims per 100,000 persons - from 2015 to 2016.

DVCS attended at the NAIDOC Week Community Celebration hosted by Community Services # 1 this afternoon with wonderful live music and dance, a Conversation Circle where four proud Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women shared their unique life journeys, art workshops for children, incredible BBQ with kangaroo, crocodile and emu meat and many displays!
