Cetana Australia is a training and development company, which specialises in Strengths Based Inter-Cultural Intelligence programs. Our individual and leadership programs take historical diversity training programs to the next level. Worldwide, organisations are moving on from generic diversity management theories that were developed in the 80's, which were focused on understanding differences between cultural groups at a national level, to a more dynamic and flexible approach called Cultural Intelligence.
We know that there are multiple complex factors that currently limit people from effectively engaging cross culturally. However, during our research individuals have consistently expressed that an overwhelming fear of being labelled "politically incorrect", and that not having practical skills to deal with differences in behaviour are key factors preventing them from confronting and resolving cross-cultural engagement issues. These factors are limiting our ability to have honest and difficult but crucial conversations at both a workplace and national level, which would enable us to engage more effectively cross-culturally. When engagement fails a range of negative interpersonal dynamics will prevail at a subtle "below the surface", level leaving an undercurrent of resentment and frustration. This leads to increasing levels of conflict and disengagement in the workplace. Cetana Australia's programs are practical and based around real world and "in the moment" inter cultural engagement scenarios and challenges. There is an immediacy about normal interpersonal engagement, it is dynamic and fluid and we don't have time to prepare for every conversation or interaction.

Lindi Cawdry is a qualified counselling psychologist and has 20 years of experience working with leadership teams and individuals in culturally and linguistically diverse communities and contexts. Lindi has worked in multiple sectors including the private sector, government and non-government organisations. She has extensive experience facilitating organisational assessments and designing strengths based leadership and diversity programs in mining, manufacturing, healthcare, telecoms, hospitality, agricultural, financial services and management consulting industries. Lindi is also involved in facilitating research on the psycho-social challenges impacting individuals from diverse ethnic groups in South Australia, and how these influence behaviour in a work and social context. Lindi has previously had several research articles published on the impact of poorly managed transformation and inter-cultural dynamics on employee performance and effectiveness within organisations.

Cindy is an experienced coach and facilitator utilising a strengths based philosophy to develop individuals from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds. Cindy also specialises in the design, development and facilitation of inter-cultural workplace health and safety training programs.
