It is quite amazing that both Johnny Sunker (Borg) and Callan Krause came into our training centre together as they are very close friends. Both boys came into Tribal to see our set up. Moving forward it has been a dramatic rise for both boys as Johnny will be having his second fight in the cage and now Callan will be fighting for the first time. It has been a pleasure watching both boys develop as well as become very important members of our growing Tribal family. Both boys are very respectful and great role models for our younger members. Our Tribal family wish them all the best for their future bouts in the cage as Johnny will be fighting on Eternal MMA on 11th March 2017 and now confirmed, Callan on Aftershock 28 on 18th March 2017. Our MMA Team training today at Tribal. Callan Krause will be fighting next for our Tribal family. We are in the final stages of confirming Callan's opponent which will be posted shortly. Callan will be fighting for the first time and he is looking forward to getting into the cage and testing his skills. Callan is a very popular member of our small but developing MMA fight team and he has enjoyed the experience of seeing his team mates compete and now he feels the time is right to step into the cage. Just a reminder to everyone that our next fight promotion will be at Eternal MMA. Where our very own Johnny Sunker (Borg) will be fighting a very tough opponent. We have a number of tickets available as standing tickets are $50 and seated are $70. The event is being held at Southport Sharks club on the Gold Coast on 11th March 2017. Come down and support Johnny 'The Moffat Beach Wrecking Ball' Johnny will do us proud. Johnny fought last year and came away with a great win. To all our Tribal family, friends, relatives and supporters. Thank you all for coming out to see Jay odell fight at XFC 29 last night at Logan Sports Complex against a very tough and respectful opponent Mike Fourie. From our team perspective we felt the tempo for the majority of the fight was being controlled by Jay. It was not until the referee separated both boys from the cage fence that Mike was able to take advantage and put on a burst of punches which a few hit the mark. However Jay was not rocked and was protecting himself. The referee stopped the bout with a second remaining in the end of the second round. The referee's priority is the safety of the fighters which is paramount which we respect. When I entered the cage to see Jay he was very clear headed and said to me " That was Awesome Paul". So Jay loved the experience being able to fight against a very tough and respectful fighter. Our Tribal family wish Mike Fourie and his team a safe trip back to New Zealand and wish him all the best for the future. Jay plays a strong part of our leadership group within our small but developing fight team and we are just so pleased that he conducted himself both professionally in an out of the cage for our upcoming young fighters to see. We now move onto our next promotion which will be featuring Johnny Sunker Borg the Moffat Beach wrecking Ball who will be fighting on 11th March 2017. This will be on Eternal at the Gold Coast. So get your tickets quick. Johnny is looking forward to the challenge. In closing we would like to thank XFC for allowing Jay to fight on their card and I will leave the final comment to Jay which sums up his experience. " Paul I can now call myself a Mixed Martial Artist" Jay's prior experience has been mainly from a grappling background, however his fight with Mike was mainly standup and Jay was able to showcase his improvement in kicking, punching and knees.
