Do you mix up your children's names? Here's why

Who can't keep their kids' names straight??When I was a kid, my dad would sometimes run through all five of his kids' names before getting to mine. I used to get particularly offended when I copped my brother's name 😂 Now we might know why ...

Iceland knows how to stop teen substance abuse - but the rest of the world isn’t listening

"A few factors emerged as strongly protective [against teenage drinking and drug taking]: participation in organised activities three or four times a week, total time spent with parents during the week, feeling cared about at school, and not being outdoors in the late evenings."

Like dogs, kids instinctively know if you are confidently in charge, or if you're faking it till you make it. And if they've decided that you don't know what you're doing, they will try to be the boss. Kids who think they're in charge, are actually worried, anxious and stressed out little people who don't sleep well, play well, or learn well. Kids don't need a highly trained parent who's done all the courses or read all the books, they just need a parent who is willing to trust their own instincts, rely on their inner knowing, and consistently follow through on their chosen course of action #followyourintuition #parentinginstincts #biggerstrongerwiser #whosincharge

Lovely friends and clients, my website is close to going live! I'm very excited, this has been a while coming, and I'm looking forward to all the extra opportunities this gives me to share helpful parenting strategies, different ideas, and generally make a positive difference in the world, one family at a time. I truly believe that to create more love, peace and harmony in our future world, we need to start by giving that to our children NOW. One of the biggest blocks I find clients hitting, when they're deciding whether or not to seek out some help, is that they don't really have a clear picture of how things could be better. They know family life isn't okay as it is, but don't know what they're actually trying to create instead. "Less miserable" is not really an inspiring goal! So if you feel like this is something you'd love to contribute to, if you would like to give another mum or dad a little inspiration, would you leave me a comment below, PM me or email me at nel.fulloon@hcnanny.com.au, with a little bit about how you've experienced positive changes in your family life through my services? Many thanks!
