Here's a pastel work that I did with inspiration from an image in National Geographic. I love the backlight and ambience of this picture and it really shows how these kookaburras are in their natural habitat. This took me 1 week to complete. Hope you like it!

Here is a piece that I won the Poochibald People's Choice Award for back in 2014. This was done in coloured pastel, a medium that I've only been using for the past 3 years. This is one of my favourite mediums at the moment because of the textures and colours that you can achieve, without having to wait for anything to dry. Here is an example of a Paper Tole I did that I spent 5 months working on, on and off . Paper Tole is a beautiful, unique art form that creates dimension and brings life to images inherently. I cut each individual feather in this Paper Tole Eagle 80 times, textured and curved it before adding it to this piece. As a final touch I added a gloss over the eyeball, dripping for 2.5 weeks to replicate a piercing glaze.
