The Variety Jet Trek visited Bowen this week. During their visit they gave some donations of bikes and toys to PCYC for families and to bring some cheer for those affected by Cyclone Debbie. The toys were given to Bowen Neighbourhood Centre for distribution to their families in need. PCYC Bowen also gave 2 bikes to 2 local young fellas during the event. This morning, before they headed out of town, Dame Ollie and Jet Trek riders Dave McNamara & Warren Chapman were on hand to help PCYC Bowen's Branch Manager SGT Michelle draw the PCYC Weber BBQ Raffle. Lucky Winner of the BBQ was Brian Paul of Bowen Ticket number 10750 Thank you to Michael McLean and the staff at the Grandview Hotel for helping out and hosting the dinner (last minute) Wednesday night. PCYC was unable to host this event due to the substantial damage sustained at our facility. Thank you to our friends at Variety for stopping in and we look forward to your Variety Bash visit later this year.

I unfortunately have to notify that PCYC Bowen has suffered damage as a result of the recent cyclone. As a result, normal daily operations and activities have been suspended. PCYC Bowen will undertake skeleton operations until such time as repairs and maintenance are completed. Management and staff are working hard to have operations functioning as normal as possible in the near future. We have staff in the office during normal working hours for any inquiries, please phone 47861383. PCYC Bowen’s regular Friday Night Skating has not been affected and will operate as normal. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and will update our valued members and the community when our situation changes. SGT Michelle

What a great turn out last night for the Easter Sk8 Night held at the skate rink by the PCYC R.U.B.Y. Crew. This FREE events was a great success and the kids who came along had a great time. The was Easter Eggs handed out throughout the evening as well as games and music played. PCYC Bowen would like to thank Bowen IGA for supplying sausages and water for the attendees as well as the wonderful staff from Big W in Willows (organised by Sally Cheesman (Nee Flynn) for organising the Easter Eggs to give away.
