Botany Cranes
Description
Botany Cranes is a family owned company that has been in business for over 50 years. We have a fleet of approx. 15 mobile cranes ranging from small crawler cranes, city cranes, Franna Cranes, truck cranes and a fleet of all terrain cranes ranging from 35T to 130T. We also provide transport services with a low loader and semi trailers. We have 2 full-time mechanics to ensure all our cranes and equipment are regularly serviced and maintained to keep breakdowns to a bare minimum and to ensure that are kept in safe working condition at all times.
Botany Cranes has an experienced workforce operating and dogging the cranes as well as the management team including 2 site supervisors to visit sites to assess crane requirements prior to crane attending site and provide WHS documents as required with the assistance of our WHS officer.
Botany Cranes has been the exclusive supplier of mobile cranes and some transport to Garde Services for at least 15 years. During this time we have supplied cranes to load drums onto stands up to over 40 tonnes in areas throughout Sydney and Central Coast. During this time we have always been able to supply cranes as required and work with Garde management to visit sites prior to works to formulate the best and safest crane options and provide safety documentation as required.
Botany Cranes have also supplied cranes for Ausgrid throughout Sydney and some Newcastle sites to install large transmission poles and towers. During this time our crane crews and supervision have formed a working relationship with Ausgrid staff and know the procedures and training as required on Ausgrid sites. Botany Cranes has also carried out works for Ausgrid such as lifting kiosk sub stations and other equipment on Ausgrid sites.
Botany Cranes is under contract to Caltex Australia to provide crane hire services for maintenance and upgrade works at both Kurnell and Banksmeadow depot. A lot of these works are often emergency works where we have provided cranes at short notice at all hours of the day and night as required. These sites are very sensitive and all our crews have been trained to carry out works as per stringent site rules.
Botany Cranes are also under contract at Botany Industrial Park to supply mobile cranes in all plant areas to carry out maintenance and upgrade works as required. This is also another volatile site so all site safety rules and procedures are always followed as per the comprehensive induction procedure that all our crane crews have been through.
Botany Cranes are also the preferred supplier of mobile cranes to Thales Australia to carry out crane lifts at NAVY bases including Garden Island and Waterhen. To work on these sites our crane crews have all had to go through Australian Federal Police checks prior to working on site as all of the works are on highly confidential defence assets. At these sites we carry out works on all different NAVY ships and base buildings as required. We have also carried out intensive maintenance programs on Princess Cruise Ships where works were required 24hrs a day, 7 days a week.
On these sites we also supply crane hire to other companies onsite such as BAE Systems, Forgacs and Serco carrying out similar works on NAVY assets.
