Rowing Albury-Wodonga
Description
Flat water rowing club. Located on Lake area on the Lincoln Causeway between Albury and Wodonga. Great way to get outdoors and exercise by yourself or with others in a variety of boats using a single or double oar. Rowing Albury-Wodonga was established on the border 9 years ago by a group of rowing enthusiasts who had nowhere to row on the border.
After a few years operating out of a large shed on the Causeway enough money was raised to erect a shed on the waters edge of the Quarry Site on the Causeway. This site is currently the home of a Water-ski Club, Two Dragon boat clubs and Mitta Mitta canoe club.
We have a range of boats available including single, double and quad sculls, Coxed and Coxless pairs, and coxed fours.
Our membership is small and we are looking to build the clubs membership base with a view to updating our equipment and proving a fun and environment to come and learn how to row or continue to enjoy the sport on the border.
We have a safety boat available when teaching beginners and have a Lake Users Group timetable to ensure you can have time on the water without speed boats.
Once membership is paid, members are given access to the club to row anytime.
