The City of West Torrens' Facebook page is monitored and maintained between the hours of 8am and 5pm (ACST), Monday to Friday. Situated between the city and the sea, the City of West Torrens is made up of approximately 57,000 residents. The City of West Torrens spans an area of around 37 square kilometres and is made up of an eclectic mix of nationalities, many who are new migrants to our country.

We have a variety of residential and industrial areas, and a number of large shopping precincts, including Harbour Town and the Mile End Homemaker Centre. We are also the gateway for many travellers with the Adelaide Airport being located within our city.

What you can expect from us
Our page is monitored and maintained between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.

We welcome your comments and questions and will reply to queries as soon as we can, however sometimes there may be a delay if we need to seek additional advice to respond to your query. It is important to us that we respond to you in a timely manner and, where possible, we will aim to respond to you within 24 hours (with the exception of weekends).
All comments and posts will be moderated by Council staff and language filtering programs will be used to block certain words. Therefore, there may be some time delay in posts appearing on our site.

What we expect from you
In order to ensure our page is friendly and welcoming for all visitors we ask that you:

•   Please post in English only. Posts in languages other than English may be removed.
•   Do not use obscene or offensive language.
•   Do not post repeat comments continuously.
•   Do not post information which is factually inaccurate and may mislead others.
•   Do not promote anything that may constitute as spam, such as commercial interests, solicitations, advertisements or endorsements of any non-governmental agency.
•   Do not reveal personal or sensitive information about yourself or others (including elected members or Council staff).
Any comments or posts that violate these terms will be deleted. Repeat offenders will be banned from the City of West Torrens Facebook page.
