CWS - Marsha the Echidna 2017
Wildlife Wednesday: Marsha the Echidna Marsha the Echidna is lucky to be alive after being hit by a car. The sweet echidna was brought into the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital where she has spent the past week recovering. “Fortunately she suffered no serious injuries – she was just a bit knocked around,” Dr Michael Pyne told myGC. “She is doing very well and has settled into hospital life nicely. But we do want to get her back out into the wild as soon as possible.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xC8cxK_QtTM&feature=youtu.be

** Happy National Volunteer Week ** From the 8th–14th May we celebrate and appreciate our wonderful Volunteers. Our Volunteer feature for the week is Anthony. He's always wanted to work with animals and started at the sanctuary in our Teen Volunteer program. He is now going on his 3rd year of volunteering and is now working alongside our beautiful reptiles. Anthony comes in twice a week and helps to feed and care for the animals. His favourite animal is our Ridge-tailed monitors, but he looks pretty content with Selma our American Alligator. You can become a volunteer or to find out more follow the link.
