Policy
Washington County Library offers social software tools including FaceBook, YouTube, Flickr and Twitter for informational and recreational purposes. Library social software tools provide a limited (or designated) public forum to share ideas, opinions and information about library-related subjects and issues. Library social software is intended to create a welcoming and inviting online space where library customers will find useful and entertaining information and can interact with library staff and other library customers. Comments are moderated by library staff and the library reserves the right to remove comments that are unlawful or off topic.

Rules for commenting
Site visitors who post comments to the site are required to sign their real names to any postings. Posts containing the following are against county rules and will be deleted before posting or removed by library staff:
1.   Obscenities
2.   Comment demeaning other people
3.   Comment that is libelous/slanderous
4.   Inaccuracies
5.   Comments not related to the specific content of the site
6.   Comments on elections
7.   Solicitations of commerce
8.   Sexual content or links to sexual content
