Another successful THOR in the books! By now we hope you all dug the mud out of your ears (and other areas), got a good nights rest, and maybe even took some much needed Ibprofen! We had 1300 registered this year! 🎉💪🏼 But what would a race in Wichita Falls, Tx be without some sort of weather drama, right?!?! After a slight weather delay we had PERFECT Thor weather. A huge, HUGE thank you to our VOLUNTEERS that always make this race come together. We had well over 300 volunteers that made this day possible. From the Thor committee, to the obstacle volunteers, the Wee-chi-tah trail crew to the rest stop, YOU ALL ROCK! (one of these years, I am going to total up the man hours it takes to put on this race!) We have some of the greatest sponsors that support this local race year after year. THANK YOU to our returning Title Sponsor: Karbach Brewing Co, Volunteer Sponsor: All American Car Wash, Kids Course Sponsor: Lonestar Highway Products, Registration Sponsor: Endurance House, Thor Village Sponsor: Wichita Surplus, Transportation Sponsor: Patterson Auto Group. Also we hope that you saw all the obstacle sponsor signs at each obstacle you tackled yesterday! Thank you to our medical teams: Beyond Faith Hospice, LLC & United Regional Sports Medicine. Our fabulous food vendors: Red River Hot Dogs, Flying Pig BBQ, and Kona Ice! Great music (and entertainment) by one of our local favorites, Rick Hatcher. We welcomed a new face to our THOR day, Chris Koetter that was MCing the start line! Thank you Chris for your energy and excitement to get these participants off and going. We hope to make this a new tradition! And of course THANK YOU to all the participants! We love to hear your stories and see your smiles year after year. You are all the reason we push to grow and continue this event year after year! Your registration benefited 2 local non-profits-Leadership Wichita Falls, Inc & Wichita Falls Streams and Valleys! Now start training for THOR 2020!!!! Cheers!
