Hootie is in charge of testing the furniture. Here she is test driving a dining room chair to be sure it's comfortable. Hootie has been known to fall asleep in the entertainment center which has an opening in the back. When shoppers open the cabinet doors they jump back and laugh...Yes...you have to have nerves of steel to enjoy our shop....lol.... Hootie also loves to check out the placemats. She considers them to be quite irresistible and likes to sit on the ones that compliment her lovely tuxedo coat.
Kanga is in charge of almost everything. Here she is receiving donations and being very particular about what is accepted for our shop. She has very good taste and especially likes tablecloths. Most often, she can be found asleep in the linen dept. stretched out in the bin of tablecloths. We have heard the gasps and laughs of many surprised and unsuspecting shoppers when they pull out the bin, only to find Kanga snoozing. There are surprises every where in our shop!!
Kanga is in charge of receiving donations at our Thrift Shop. She has incredible taste and only allows the best to be displayed in our shop. Here she is sitting alongside approved boxs ready for volunteers to price. Kanga likes to inspect tablecloths especially and can be found sleeping in the bin of tablecloths much to the shock and hysterical surprise of many a shopper.
Hootie looking a little pouty!
Our shop kitties are incredible. They were feral and graduated from Scaredy Cat School and now they are working on their Master's degree in Sociability by being around people every day the shop is open. They are incredible! They are used to dogs, all kinds of people and most kids. Babies screaming do kinda get them scared still, but then it does me as well...lol.. Today Hootie was lounging on the shag orange hassock and it screamed "Photo Opportunity" so I got a snap of it. Is this cute or what? Come and visit Hootie and the gang as soon as you can, and would you bring some cat treats with you? We run out all the time and sure would love some for the kitties! Thanks!
