The metropolitan and urban research hub of American University. The Metropolitan Policy Center was created in the fall of 2014 within the School of Public Affairs at American University. The Center serves as metropolitan and urban research hub on campus. The Center's mission is to create knowledge and propose solutions to our 21st century metropolitan and urban challenges. The insights gained through the Center are disseminated to academic and mainstream media outlets, and policy makers.

Wednesday, November 30th at 11:20am community changers from both the AU and DC area will gather in Ward 107 to hear from DC City Administrator, Rashad Young, as he concludes MPC’s final Public Engagement Series of the semester. The Public Engagement Series is platform for esteemed practitioners, think tank experts, and policy makers to address critical metropolitan and urban issues. Hear more from Rashad Young, as he suggests new ways the public can rethink how DC government administrators, stakeholders, and citizens can work together to advance the community and economic development agenda of our nation’s capital.
