On Saturday, January 30th, after a snow delay from January 23rd, we hosted our own 80th Birthday Party for Bunn! Family, friends and former co-workers reminisced about old times including speeding school buses and mail delivery cars! The meal was served buffet style by our favorite caterer! Cakes from River's Edge Restaurant and coffee ended our evening! We thoroughly enjoyed hosting this event and showing off the James Holbrook Building to out of town family members! Happy 80th Birthday Honey Bunn!
On Sunday, January 24th, a Pampered Chef shower for two brides was hosted by friends. After the cooking show, they enjoyed tasting recipes that the hosts helped prepare. Guests were able to purchase items off of each bride's Pampered Chef registry. Many fun memories were shared during this reunion of friends! We wish both brides a lifetime of happiness!
On Thursday, December 10th, an elegant Christmas dinner party was enjoyed by attorneys, staff and families from the Poisson, Poisson & Bower law office. A southern menu was prepared and served by Jammin' Collards. This family oriented office reunited with many new babies, children and spouses this Christmas season in our lounges and dining room. They toured the building and reminisced through what they knew had been there. We, at the James Holbrook Building, would love to have them back!
Friday, December 4th, we at the James Holbrook Building were so happy to be part of a rehearsal dinner for a very close friend and church family member hosted by the Groom's parents. The Carolina Blue theme for the Groom consisted of some of his childhood memories including his miniature cowboy hat and boots from way back when and a childhood toy moo-cow! Photos of the couple and their families were displayed all around and everyone ooo'd and ahhh'd over them! The Groom's great-aunts so graciously catered and served dinner - a local favorite - Burnsville BBQ!
In December we had two events with Cobb Vantress; one being their 'State of Cobb' and the other being their employee Christmas party. The State of Cobb lunch meeting consisted of their growers and administration. These were local and out-of-state business partners. The employee Christmas party was a fun-filled candlelit dinner with Christmas gift give-aways ranging from a big screen television to a flashlight depending on your number being drawn. Every employee left with a gift! Both events were catered by Spiro's Hilltop Restaurant from Monroe. Trays of leftover food were taken to our local homeless shelter on Salisbury Street.
