It is the mission of Vidalia Heritage Academy to equip students spiritually, intellectually, and physically to love God and serve Him as Christ’s ambassadors in the world. OUR VISION

At its core, Vidalia Heritage Academy’s academic vision relies on four principles: Faith, Excellence, Relevance, and Balance.

FAITH
VHA believes that all truth is God’s truth, and that the Bible conveys truth in every area of life, including all academic disciplines. VHA exists to serve and nurture children whose purpose for attending the school is to apply Christianity to every area of life. Our desire is to lift up Jesus Christ in our community. As Christian educators, we are committed to strive for excellence in education. The school should encourage within students a love of learning and the motivation to excel in their studies. However, in that God gives different gifts and even the same gifts in different measure to children, each child should be given individual attention based on the subject matter at hand. We will strive to develop salt-of-the-earth statesmen, philosophers, scientists, artisans, theologians, homemakers, scholars, and tradesmen who will be equipped to assume leadership roles in the future.

EXCELLENCE
VHA sets high standards for itself and for its students. The school is dedicated to hiring and developing a faculty with exceptional academic and spiritual backgrounds who will share their intellectual passions with students and seek to inspire a commitment to excellence in scholarship and life-long learning. VHA teachers believe in the importance of strong fundamental skills and work habits that provide the foundation for achievement in individual fields of interest, and encourage students to take the intellectual risks that lead to full engagement and mastery.

RELEVANCE
VHA recognizes that its mission “to equip students spiritually, intellectually, and physically” means that what students learn should be truly relevant and helpful. Application of a discipline's principles and facts to real-life situations empowers students to see their education, and the hard work that it entails, as meaningful and enjoyable. The school's small classes also foster strong communities of learners who reinforce the social value of education.

BALANCE
VHA conceives of education as multi-faceted. While there are opportunities to perhaps specialize in high school, the curriculum is broadly defined to insure that each student develops a full complement of intellectual, artistic, athletic, and civic skills. In addition, students also learn how to suspend the pursuit of accomplishment and foster deeper relationships with each other, their families, their communities and, ultimately, with God.

Youth Legislator Scholarship Competition winner, VHA Freshman Briley Braddy, with her family and friends in Governor Nathan Deal's office for the official signing into the Georgia Code that her essay helped create. The contest, sponsored by Senator Blake Tillery, inspired Him to draft and sponsor Senate Bill 258 based on Briley's essay, which bars a holder of public funds owed to a municipal government from holding civil office. "Our Youth Legislator Scholarship was designed to engage young citizens in the political and legislative process,” said Sen. Tillery. “Briley’s idea was a good idea; you shouldn’t be making decisions about other people’s tax money if you haven’t paid yours! I’m proud to help her move it through the General Assembly." Congratulations Briley! #solideogloria #experienceVHA
