Verona Area High School serves more than 1,500 students in the Verona, Fitchburg and Madison area. The Verona Area School District (VASD) is working with all district schools to ensure that:
•Every student has a personalized learning plan that provides a path to discovery and achievement and that plan is reviewed and changed at least annually based on the student’s needs
•Every student’s parent, guardian or advocate participates directly in the design,
implementation,
and outcomes of that student’s personalized learning plans
•Every student meets or exceeds personalized learning plan goals every school year
•Every Verona Area High School student graduates

The PGA Tour Champions American Family Insurance championship, including Hall of Famer, Brett Favre, and baseball great Derek Jeter, is here tomorrow! VAHS Yearbook Program earns National Recognition for 6th Straight Year! This is the sixth year in a row that Ms. Mortenson and her yearbook staff have been recognized. In fact, there are only 13 advisers NATIONWIDE that have earned this award each year it's been around, and VAHS is one of the 13! Congratulations to the yearbook members.
Hello VAHS families, Important Reminders: Seniors must return their Senior Exit Form by Thursday, June 8th at 4:00 pm to the main office. Seniors must return their school-issued iPads and iPad accessories by Thursday, June 8th at 4pm to the main office. Seniors must report to VAHS PAC tomorrow, June 9th, at 8:30 for a mandatory graduation ceremony rehearsal. Please note, according to VASD Board Policy number 345.62, all fees, fines and district-owned materials need to be resolved/returned in order to participate in the VAHS graduation ceremony on Sunday, June 11, 2017. We look forward to the graduation ceremony on June 11, 2017 at 3pm at Epic!

A BIG Congratulations to the cast and crew of Verona Area High School's production of "Into the Woods" for winning a Tommy Award for Outstanding Musical. Named for local Broadway star Tom Wopat, the Tommy Awards encourage, recognize and honor excellence in high school musical theater. Educators, and industry professionals review productions at more than 70 high schools in 23 counties and provide valuable feedback. School and student achievements are honored and featured in an awards show held at Overture Center Sunday, June 11. All of the winners from VAHS including the "Into the Woods" cast will be performing for a sold out audience at the Overture Center.

The weather was not going to stop these Verona Area High School @VAHSwildcats students as they "Camp out to stamp out" poverty in our area by collecting food and donations for the Badger Prairie Needs Network in Miller's grocery store parking lot! A car full of food was already collected and you will find Mr. Knoll and some students camping out overnight in the parking lot to continue raising awareness! Stop by to donate and watch WISC15 and WKOW27 tonight as they cover the story! VASDschools
