Description
Core Knowledge Charter School is a K-8 school serving nearly 400 students in the elementary and middle school. The Verona Area School District (VASD) is working with all district schools to ensure that:
•Every student has a personalized learning plan that provides a path to discovery and achievement and that plan is reviewed and changed at least annually based on the student’s needs
•Every student’s parent, guardian or advocate participates directly in the design, implementation,
and outcomes of that student’s personalized learning plans
•Every student meets or exceeds personalized learning plan goals every school year
•Every Verona Area High School student graduates
•Every graduate achieves their choice of college and career path

Congratulations to our 8th grade students as they were promoted to 9th grade yesterday! Below is a group photo from their last day as well as a time lapsed video. In following a tradition that was started last year, our current K-7 students wish our 8th graders well before promotion. Our 8th grade class walks through the elementary hallway and takes a group photo on the Kindergarten playground where many of this years class first got to know each other 9 years ago. On behalf our our staff, thank you parents, for all the support you have given your child to help them be successful during their time at CKCS!

Second Graders in Mrs. Lambe's class took a field trip yesterday to Four Winds Manor to play games and read to the residents. A great learning experience!
