The Grand Opening of Northern Ninja Dojo is May 3rd! The Dojo is run by, Sam Fuller and Bill Fuller, two highly respected individuals. Sam is a part time Police Officer for the town of Van Buren, a full time Officer in Presque Isle and holds a first degree black belt in To Shin Do. Bill also holds a first degree black belt in To Shin Do and will be the lead instructor. Together they have over 13 years of experience in martial arts. Every other week the Dojo will have a 3rd degree black belt with over 20 years experience assisting in teaching class. This is an amazing opportunity for adults and children in our community and can teach them values and discipline. The Dojo will except students from ages 8 and up but may make exceptions for children who are extremely motivated. Classes are held every Wednesday and Friday from 6:00pm to 8:30pm. Go and like their Facebook page for updates and events. The Dojo is located at 52 Main Street in Van Buren. If you have any questions, message their Facebook page or call (207) 551-3616. We are extremely happy to have Bill and Sam as part of the community. 👮🎎

***2017 MAINE's FALLEN T-SHIRT... PLEASE SUPPORT & SHARE!!!*** https://www.bonfire.com/remember-maines-fallen-2017/ On May 9, 2017, for the 6th year in a row, I will join over 2000 Police Officers from across the country who will ride BICYCLES along varying routes, each nearly 300 miles, to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial (NLEOM) in Washington DC in honor of Officers who have fallen in the line of duty. https://www.bonfire.com/remember-maines-fallen-2017/ Each participant is required to raise a MINIMUM of $1850 to participate in the Ride. All funds are donated to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund and Museum. The Police Unity Tour is the largest contributor to the NLEOMF having donated over $13 million since the Tour's inception in 1997. Each shirt, a Gildan Ultra Cotton (NOT THE SAME SHIRT USED LAST YEAR!!!) contains the names of ALL 90 of Maine's fallen. It is a combined list of those on the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, DC and those listed on Maine's Law Enforcement Memorial in Augusta, ME. Please help me HONOR Maine's fallen officers by purchasing a shirt and assisting with my journey with the Police Unity Tour Chapter 10. Our motto is, "We ride for those who died!" Thank you, Luke R Dyer, Sergeant Van Buren Police
Well... one of our Officers learned the hard way that what was water during the day can become ice at night. With the warmer weather we have been having, it's important to remember that melt off turns to dangerous black ice at night. Don't worry he wasn't hurt (other than his pride)😂👮

PLEASE! PLEASE! Drive extremely slow this morning! The roads are extremely dangerous. White outs and drifts are making it very hard for emergency personnel to get to you. Take your time this morning, STAYING ALIVE is way more important than BEING ON TIME! 👮❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
