We are a Just Peace and Open and Affirming congregation.
We welcome into this community of faith, and affirm the participation in all aspects of church life, persons of every age, race, gender identity and expression, nationality, ability, and sexual orientation. We will continue our efforts toward inclusiveness, and stand against all forms of discrimination. We will empower ourselves, our children, and one another to be fully present in the world, living in Christ's image and striving for justice and peace.

The Des Moines Area Season of Creation Celebrations continue this Tue. evening Sept. 26th at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 66th and Douglas in Urbandale. (Martha and Mary Room--enter from the narthex room, room is on the right). The topic is: Being the Difference: Nourishing Ourselves as Part of Creation. The event begins at 7 PM. The events are sponsored by the Interfaith Green Coaltion, Iowa Interfaith Power and Light, and the Center for Social Ministry. Next weeks event on Oct. 3rd, is Worship on the Eve of the Feast of St. Francis. Our Iowa UCC Conference Minister Rich Pleva will be delivering the sermon. All are invited and welcome to attend!
