The SMFC began with a simple idea; uniting people who share two common interests: a love for music and a desire to perform in a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere. We invite new singers to share this journey with us by attending open rehearsals and learn more about the SMFC. Our spring 2018 program entitled Pure Imagination will feature a program of magical, mysterious, and macabre musical content drawing on repertoire from the stage and screen. Selections will include “Phantom of the Opera”, “Sweeney Todd”, “Into the Woods”, “Everybody Rejoice”, “Magic To Do”, “Hernando’s Hideaway”, “Defying Gravity” and others! The concert will feature SMFC’s usual dose of special effects and other surprises and will be accompanied by live musicians. New singers are invited to attend our next open rehearsals on Monday, January 22 and 29, 2018 to sing with us and learn more about becoming a member. A brief, informal audition will take place following rehearsal on the 29th. SMFC will be accepting new members in the Soprano 1, Tenor and Bass sections only. Weekly rehearsals are held each Monday, 7pm to 9pm, at First Congregational (Stone) Church, 785 South Main Street, Raynham. For more information, please call 508-821-9571, email admin@smfconline.org or visit www.smfconline.org
