facebook.comSenior Theology classes are confidently navigating the process of exegesis. “Ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ.” - St. Jerome - born around 342 AD in a town on the Eastern Adriatic coast, in the imperial territory the Romans called Dalmatia. He studied in Rome, where he was baptized, and eventually became a monk. He traveled to Rome where he served as the secretary of Pope Damasus from 382-385. After the Pope’s death, he settled in Bethlehem where he founded a monastery and dedicated himself to study and the translation of the Scriptures from the original languages into Latin. St. Jerome’s translation, known as the Vulgate, was used in the Latin rite of the Catholic Church for over 1,000 years.

#TCStudents in all Dr. Ittig’s AP psychology and theology courses are going to work in cooperative teams this year. During the first week of school the classes built their teams and classroom culture through cooperative games. They played Werewolf to help create bonds among students. This will develop a sense of responsibility for one another as they continue their learning in collaborative teams. The game was was a bit hit!

Giants veteran Jeff Samardzija uses milestone to speak up for younger teammates
Samardzija talks MLB service time. Hitting 10 years of service guarantees MLB players a full pension. Recent Giants outfielders A.Jackson, Denard @thisisdspan TC’02 and G. Blanco aren’t as fortunate. Blanco has more than 8 years of service time accrued but now stuck at Triple-A while neither Jackson or Span hooked on with a team this offseason. Few people will feel sorry for Span, who made more than $50 million during his career, but the final days of his career shows the struggle many players face in crossing the finish line. The left-handed hitting outfielder batted .261 with a .760 OPS in 2018, but with 51 days of service remaining until he could become fully vested, Span is out of baseball. But we love the travel pics on instagram! #TCAlumni #Crusader4Life
