Vermont B&B, restaurant, conference center, and spa The Hartness House Inn offers lodging, the Tavern, special event or banquets, conference facilities, and a spa.
The Hartness House offers 40 rooms with TV, private baths, and heat and AC. We have 12 rooms in our central mansion. Each of our mansion rooms possess individual elegant characteristics; each being named after family and friends of Mr. James Hartness. In addition to these beautiful rooms, there are standard hotel rooms on the back side of the mansion.
A farm-to-table breakfast is included with every stay. Join us for dinner in our newly renovated Tavern Thursday-Saturday nights. Executive Chef Nicholas Matush and his team offer a variety of options for food lovers. The Tavern is open to guests of the Inn and the public. Check our Facebook page often for updated menus (it changes based on what is available from local farmers) and events.
The Hartness House Inn hosts weddings, business parties, family reunions, and many other special events. These events can be held in one of our four beautiful venues: The Tavern, which holds up to 50 guests, The Victorian Ballroom with up to 100, The Event Tent and Outdoor Garden Pavilion which are only available between May-October and each hold about 150 guests.
We have a private spa on-site. Our beautiful spa includes a jacuzzi, wet sauna, dry sauna, and tanning booth. The spa is an additional cost, but is a great way to sit back and relax on a nice vacation. A massage therapist is available with prior notice.
The estate features over 35 acres of woodlands and sweeping lawns. There is also a private garden for weddings with a fountain and pergola. Along with these outdoor features is a telescope museum.
