Downtown Springdale's Shiloh Museum of Ozark History has a treasure--not an artifact in its wonderful collection or a new exhibit--but a living treasure. Susan Young was just honored with four other amazing women at the Washington County Women in History banquet by the Women In History Coalition. Susan is someone you simply don't forget once you've met her, with her folksy Ozarks pattern of speech, her overt kindness, her ability to tell a charming story and her skill at quickly figuring out who "your people" are and if you might even be related. She beautifully connects us to our Springdale and Ozarks past, whether we've always been here or we're new to NWA--and helps us better see and appreciate this special place we live. If you see Susan, please congratulate her on this honor and pose the question, "Who brought you here?" If she has just a moment to tell you of the women who inspired and carried her forward in her life, you'll be so glad you asked. #downtownspringdale #womeninhistory #shilohmuseum

Big plans are in the works for future culinary events in Downtown Springdale, and two of them in coming months will involve the genius and passion of Chef Miles James of MJ Pizzeria. His connection to and love of Springdale, paired with his world view and international experience in working directly with some of the best in the food service industry, means we get a very special treat every time he partners with us for public events. And while we already love working with Chef James, it doesn't hurt that our planning and brainstorming meetings involve creations like the ones you see here! #spoiledrotten #mmmm #downtownspringdale #noslowinggrowing #culinary
