2017 Renegade Pistol Phase I & II Courses "The human mind and body under stress, can not go beyond it's self to accomplish a difficult task. It can only default back to what it was trained to do." *** Please note!!! Ammunition count for specified courses, are based on first time qualification of course criteria. However, additional ammunition may be needed for successful qualification there after. So remember, that it is better to bring too much ammunition, then not have enough to complete the course.

NRA Home Firearm Safety Course  Cost: $40.00

Class location: Classroom / Home (4 hours)***Home instruction allows for flexible scheduling. It also provides insight and consultation to address safety and storage issues unique to your home.  ***Short Description: Non-shooting course and teaches students the basic knowledge, skills, and to explain the attitude necessary for the safe handling and storage of firearms and ammunition in the home.***More Details: This is a four-hour long course for safe gun handling that is conducted in the classroom only. Students are taught NRA’s three rules for safe gun handling; primary causes of firearms accidents; firearm parts; how to unload certain action types; ammunition components; cleaning; care; safe storage of firearms in the home; and the benefits of becoming an active participant in the shooting sports. Students will receive the NRA Home Firearm Safety handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Basic Firearm Training Program brochure, course completion certificate:  

NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course PHASE 2
( Phase 1 must be completed online at the NRA.org-Bring your PIN NUMBER to class after completing online portion of this class.)

Class location: Class / Range (8 hours)  Ammo count: 100 (additional ammo recommended)   ***Short Description: Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely.  ***More Details: This course range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; two handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development course completion certificate. Cost: $125.00

NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home
Cost  $150.00

Class location: Class/ Range (8 hours) Ammo Count: 120 (additional ammo recommended) ***Short Description: Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, and to provide information on the law-abiding individual’s right to self-defense. ***More Details: This is an eight-hour course. Students should expect to shoot approximately 100 rounds of ammunition. Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, how to choose a handgun for self-defense, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection In The Home handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, (individuals must be able to show mastery of the basic skills of safe gun handling, shooting a group, zeroing the firearm, and cleaning the firearm) to maximize what can be learned from this course. Proof of shooting experience can be one of the following: NRA Basic Pistol Course Certificate, NRA FIRST Steps Course Certificate, NRA pistol competitive shooting qualification card, military DD 214 with pistol qualification, or passing the Pre-Course Assessment.
