Farm "Groom" position available starting February, 2016. Friends, we are hoping you can spread the word that we are looking for an ambitious and responsible groom, starting February, 2016. This groom will have an opportunity to work with our head trainer Brooke Voldbaek, FEI/Grand Prix trainer/instructor and our assistant trainer/young horse rider, Emily Anderson. The groom will help to prepare horses for training for Brooke and Emily and will work with both young and developing dressage horses. The job in the off-season is typically 5 days a week/6 hours per day, but during the competition season, the groom will likely travel and have many more hours available. The groom will have the potential to ride/lease a dressage horse and potentially be instructed by Brooke. The groom will have additional hours available to help feed/blanket/turn-out horses a few times per week - so this could be (almost) a full-time position in the off-season. Finally, potential housing arrangements could be made if needed for grooms that apply from out of the area. Friends, please share this post with anyone that you know who might be interested. Thank you in advance.

We are truly honored to be one of the nominees for the 2015 North American KWPN Breeder of the Year Award as well as excited that our homebred Allure S, keur (Rousseau x Farrington), now competing Grand Prix, was nominated as North American KWPN Horse of the Year. We must THANK our mentors that have guided and taught us on this journey including Lana Sneddon, Judy Reggio, Willy Arts, Faith Fessenden, Judy Yancey, Bart Henstra, Jacques Verkerk and all of our friends and colleagues at the KWPN-NA for years of education and friendship. We also thank Brooke Voldbaek for our wonderful partnership and many years of directing many of our home-breds under saddle and doing a fantastic job! Another thank you to KC Dunn of Timbach Farm for their sponsorship to the KWPN-NA for this award. Additionally, we congratulate our fellow nominees, Scot Tolman and Jennifer Miners Miller for their outstanding breeding accomplishments and contributions to North American sport horses. Scot and Jennifer, your nomination is well deserved! 2015 was an exceptional year for our farm's bred horses including a USEF/Markel Young Dressage Horse Reserve National Champion, USDF Res. Champion Horse of the Year, multiple USDF Region Championships and placings across the USA. Through the KWPN-NA keuring system, 3 of our home bred mares achieved their "keur" designation, and many were Champion/Res. Champion and/or ranked in the Top-Five by the KWPN jury throughout the USA and Canada. Thanks to all who have supported us and been along this exciting journey - it's not always easy as a breeder, but it's been a blast. The KWPN-NA site has many more details on the special awards and anyone can vote - whether you are a member or not. "Bred for mind and movement, born to perform!"
