Zombie walk and Halloween parade. Friday October 28th, starts at 5pm at Claire Engle park, Shasta Lake City. Prizes for Best Zombie, and Best Costume. Following the parade is a community Halloween Party, everyone is invited. October 29th, Haunted House located at 4440 Shasta Dam Boulevard, Shasta Lake City. Starts at 7pm. Happy day to you all. I want to let you know we have some new leather in the shop as well as dentaiiium , and some new natural, organic medicines. Come see all our bone and horn beads , their great!

Anyone out there have a child between 12 and 19? They are welcome to come to the LIFE Center on Sat. the 27th for a free BBQ, movie, games , prizes and speakers, including the star of "The only good Indian", Winter Fox Frank. Also a Handgame tournament. Don't miss this , it will be loads of fun.

Pow-wow is coming up soon and we will be ordering some needed things for Regalia, dance and crafting so be sure and check out the shop soon.

***Upcoming Field Trips Announcement*** The following field trips are open to all within the given age limits. All participants must have a signed release form turned in before going on any of these outings. Release forms are available at the LIFE Center and can be emailed or faxed if you request it. Each trip is being coordinated by our Executive Director Rod Lindsay and if you have any questions, you can contact him at 530-945-6555 or Brandi Hughes at The LIFE Center at 530-275-1513. Tuesday, June 7, 2016 Ages 11 – 17 Departure Time: 1:30 PM from Local Indians For Education We will be going to the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office for a tour and insight into what a District Attorney does. Tuesday, June 14, 2016 Ages 11 – 17 Departure Time: 1:00 PM from Local Indians For Education We will be visiting the Shasta County Jail and the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office for tours and insight into what goes on within our local law and legal agencies and within our legal system. Saturday, June 11, 2016 Ages 12 – 19 Departure Time: 9:00 AM from Local Indians For Education We will be going to Women’s Health Specialists for a 3-hour training, with lunch provided. When we finish there, we will head to Shasta Lanes for bowling and then to dinner to review what we learned for the day. Each full participant will receive a $25 Visa Gift card. We are looking forward to all of these field trips and hope you are too. We will be planning a cultural day at Clair Engle Park in Shasta Lake City in the next 3 weeks which will include a movie night. We will provide food at all of these events. So think about it and join in the summer fun. Remember also, Camp is just around the corner!

We will be closed on Thurs, 3/17 and Fri. 3/18 for the ciac conference but we will be at the conference at the vendor tent along with many others, come and join us.
