The World Trade Center Arkansas is leading a trade mission for Arkansas companies interested in exporting to Caribbean countries.
Faculty member Edmund Harriss was interested in art as a child. “I couldn’t draw, so I became a mathematician,” he says. For Harriss, the two disciplines have merged—he now uses mathematical concepts and equations to make interactive art. Harriss’ art pieces (he also created a coloring book and even has a fractal curve named after him) help students and researchers look at math from a different perspective. “You’re not just illustrating mathematics, you can start interacting with it,” he says. “We can show things we know to be hard to teach.” More on Edmund's work : https://researchfrontiers.uark.edu/experiencing-math/
