Red Rock State Park is a 286 acre nature preserve and environmental education center. Red Rock State Park is a 286 acre nature preserve and environmental education center with stunning scenery. Trails throughout the park wind through manzanita and juniper to reach the rich banks of Oak Creek. Green meadows are framed by native vegetation and hills of red rock. The creek meanders through the park, creating a diverse riparian habitat abounding with plants and wildlife. This riparian habitat provides the setting and the opportunity for the park to offer a focus on environmental education.

We believe firmly that social media must be a safe space for all participants to engage in full and fair dialogue. All posters are encouraged to agree or disagree on any positions on any of our social media outlets. We remind individuals who post, that children, youth and families have access to all of these posts and we want to maximize participation that is free from intimidation or bullying.
Name-calling, intimidation or bullying of other social media participants will never be tolerated. Abusive, excessively disruptive and harassing posts will also be considered prohibitive of the fair and safe space we intend to maintain. Posts with unrelated information or political agendas will be removed. We will monitor communications and take appropriate action in order to ensure that these policies are consistently adhered to.

Join us for the Full Moon Hike on Wednesday, May 10th. Led by a knowledgeable naturalist, hikers get the rare opportunity to enjoy the sunset and moonrise from a park overlook and return by the light of the moon. A $5.00 reservation fee is required in addition to regular park entry fees. Space is limited and reservations are required. Please call (928) 282-6907 for more information or to reserve your spot.

Our Sunday Lecture on May 7th is "The Un-Common Raven." This presentation by Dianne Phelps Budden provides an illustrated overview of the Common Raven using original four-color photography that depicts the raven's characteristics and behaviors. The program starts at 2 p.m. and is included with the standard park entry fee; however, seating is limited so call to make your reservation. (928) 282-6907.

The STAR Party begins with an introductory presentation on current sky events with star viewing from 8 pm to 10 pm.
