Franni sez: For Mother's Day..we bring Ms.Ellie Lee ....a Mom herself, after raising her family, she's back on the road sharing her incredible chops with us...Winner of numerous awards, this blues/rock/singer-songwriter and fret stretcher fronts her band with a killer soulful voice, ripping solos and shows an obvious joy in performing.....She's been compared to Jeff Beck, Albert King and Jimi Hendrix to name a few, and puts the pedal to the metal in every performance...So, Bring your Momma on down to the River to Celebrate her with show stopper...Ellie Lee...and let her knock your socks off !. Franni sez: Planet's TOP HARP MAN....JASON RICCI to ROCK Earl's stage this Sunday with the BAD KIND !!! Considered to be one of the TOP harmonica players on Planet Earth today, Jason Ricci is BACK !! Recently signed, along with Rev Billy C. Wirtz, to Ellersoul Records Jason is on another phenomenal rise to the top of the charts AND his game. This American singer, harpist and songwriter has several solo albums to his credit, but is also world famous for the years he spent touring in front of NEW BLOOD. As one of the top ten players also on the internet, he has appeared as a guest on many of the most well known players of the last 2 decades, including Johnny Winter, Nick Curran and Ana Popovic and Walter Trout...just to name a few...Endless touring has kept his polarizing and influential force in the spotlight, and this well know "bad boy" s playing, dress and style has influenced an entire younger generation. Nicknamed "Mooncat", he has been nominated several times for the Blues Music Awards and won in 2010. He was also a featured performer along with Zac Brown at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's induction of the Paul Butterfield Blues Band in 2015. Even his felony convictions have not stopped him, and his activism in in the fields of LGBT,mental health and addiction are helping him to change the world through music and education. He has been a constant force in the spotlight and with his new band, the BAD KIND, he is laying down the most fierce grooves of his now legendary career. Franni sez: Well, Stacy Mitchhart certainly fulfilled his promise to fans last Sunday...the much loved Blues Doctor and his BIG band rocked us till the moon rose over the River...and then some....Because of the fan adoration, we went into the evening and Stacy and the boys could not stop themselves...we all had SOOO much fun...dancin and jivin and laughing....a fabulous time was had by all...our congrats once again to one of the all time holders of merchandise sales...EVERYONE loves Stacy Mitchhart Band ! Fancy Nancy rocked that merch booth big time.....thanks, Nancy....AND the band..... SO, this week brings a double header show to Earl's...both bands fresh off of Festival appearances, they bring us a wide variety of tunage....Annika Chambers belting out R&B, SOUL, GOSPEL and Blues Rock.....her quickly rising star is meteoric since her 2015 BMA nomination for "WILD & FREE" ! She certainly is every bit of that...Her discipline comes from her 4 yr stint with the U.S. Army, where she traveled the Middle East, bringing her music to lift the spirits of the troops in many isolated bases. Young and extremely sexy, she cuts loose with deep rooted vocals and backed by her HOUSE RULES band, Annika knows how to roust the crowd into that "feel good" thang ! IT's been a few years since her last appearance here...so be ready for her to ROCK YOUR WORLD ! Followed by Chicago's own JOE MOSS, and not to be outdone, Joe has long been the darling of Buddy Guy's LEGENDS Club in Chicago. His guitar work has put him head and shoulders above the rest, and he has shared the stage with just about every legend out there, dead or alive....His ability to cross genres and still be fantastic at what he does is almost uncanny.....And, when we put Annika back up on stage with Joe later in the afternoon, it's sure to be an unforgettable experience for ALL of us...SO, shine those machines up and ride down to Earl's....everyone's FAVORITE BIKER BAR....good food, GREAT service, beyond reasonable drink pricing, friendly faces, fabulous motorcycle show, and the BEST in musical talent that you'll find anywhere...for FREE ! Franni sez: Was last Sunday a great day, or what? MAN O MAN...that Commander Cody does not show any signs of slowing down...nor do any of the band members......Give them a couple of beers and they just just pounding out those great old tunes....exactly, if not better than they EVER sounded..One right after another...and I looked out from the stage and saw that EVERYONE still remembered the words !! WOW ! It was a fantastic show and we ALL had FUN..FUN...FUN !! Thanks Commander and the CRAZEE AIRMEN...a GIANT THANKS to Rock n ROll DUNDEE as well, for an awesome opening ROCK show...THEY will return to Earl's on Friday night, May 5 for the entire evening !! SO, THIS Sunday ...another Earl's favorites comes back to town...STACY MITCHHART & his BIG band will arrive to play for us ALL afternoon... The horns, the B3...and of course...the guitar wizard himself....STACY.... The pride of Nashville, Tenn...( he STILL is the headliner at PRINTER'S ALLEY there), he has released yet another record and he'll have plenty for salw , so you CAN take the band home with you...A GREAT story teller, he is TONS of laughs, personality plus and never fails to draw a full house...So, COME EARLY...for the BEST seat and parking, ( remember, the City is still working on I.R. Drive...so it affects our parking just a bit)and plan to STAY LATE...as you never want to walk from a Stacy Mitchhart show...The weather will be FANTASTIC, a bit cooler...on Sunday...so we are tuned up perfectly for ya...CAUSE.....
