Welcome & Meet our new Pro Jack Madej Born and raised in Scotia, Jack fell in love with the game of golf at the age of 2. His father, Jack, was a good avid player and playing golf locally enabled a young Jack or “Jackie” to tag along. Progressing as a child golfer, Jack was able to develop into a solid player early in his life. Jack grew up playing and learning the game at Schenectady Muny under the watchful eye of Bobby Haggerty, who molded a solid player. The love of the game continued into his teenage years, playing and lettering on the Scotia Glenville Varsity Golf Team. At the age of 15 Jack got his first job in the golf industry washing dishes and cooking at Stadium Golf Club. In his time at Stadium he turned Pro at 19 and finished a 10 year stint at Stadium and was hired by Mohawk Golf Club. Jack enjoyed his time there learning under Rick Wolcott, a longtime local Golf Professional. Rick was instrumental in building a great foundation for the next phase of Jack’s career. This next phase of his career was at the Glens Falls Country Club working for Tom Haggerty for 15 years. Working for Tom at GFCC allowed Jack to really hone his craft and love for teaching the game of golf. Also during this time Jack was able to learn all aspects of running the day to day golf operations. This was a tremendous education and experience molding Jack into the person and professional he is today. Tom and the members of Glens Falls Country Club will always be a huge and wonderful influence in Jack’s like and career. Now coming full circle to where his golf career started, Jack comes back to be the new proud Head Golf Professional at Stadium Golf Club. Jack will tell you that this is 100% his dream job. His hopes are to be able to serve all of Stadium’s members and patrons for many years to come. Jack thanks the Hennel family for this fantastic opportunity to be part of such a wonderful golf club.
