facebook.comTeacher Spotlight: Ms. Megan Burkitt I teach French levels 1 through 4 and US History. This is my 11th year of teaching. My first five years of teaching I spent in Arizona teaching French, then I taught for a year in Illinois before spending the last five years teaching here at Sault High. I went to Waverly High School, which is in a suburb of Lansing MI, and got my Bachelors from Grand Valley State University. Throughout high school and college I was involved in Marching band, specifically the color guard (flag twirlers) and even coached the color guard for my high school and where I taught in Arizona. I like to read, dance and spend time with my family and friends.

Teacher Spotlight: Mrs. Tracy Menard I am a Sault (Ontario) native who attended LSSU. I earned my BA in English and Psychology and went on to earn an Associates with a concentration in Humanities. I earned my Teaching Certification and Masters both from Michigan State. I started working in the district in 1999 in the English Department. Since then, I have worked to introduce both Drama and Service Learning into the curriculum. I took over the Psychology and Yearbook courses as well rounding out a series of very diverse yet creative electives. I advise the volunteer club Students United who meets each Wednesday to discuss volunteer opportunities in their community. Last year I was Master Gardner certified through MSU Extension and used those skills to work as Beautification Specialist for the City of Sault Ste. Marie. I am wife of Scott Menard, fellow teacher and varsity coach. I am mother to Billy and Alex Menard, two great Sault Schools kids.
