On Saturday, July 22nd, the Boys & Girls Club will be hosting LUNAFEST, a traveling film festival of award-winning short films by, for and about women. The proceeds raised for this event will service both the Boys & Girls club as well as the Breast Cancer Fund. The Saint Francis Dam Disaster has been a topic of both heartache and fascination, and the California Oil Museum is proud to host its next Speaker Series on this powerful moment in our local history. Please join us this July when art curator and history connoisseur John Nichols and journalist and author Peggy Kelly from the Santa Paula Times will be lecturing on this deep gash in our history that has aged to nearly a century. Throughout the week Camp Explorers will engage with museum exhibits and participate in extraordinary science projects and art creations.
