MEET THE GRAND STAFF: Shawna Terry Title: Program & Events Manager Hometown: Bozeman, MT Favorite performance you’ve seen at The Grand?: I’ve enjoyed a number of performances, but I’d have to say my two favorites were Jeff Daniels and Gregory Alan Isakov. Aspects of the arts you enjoy or participate in?: I enjoy experiencing all of the arts, from gallery showings to live music and theatricals. In my spare time, I write fiction and poetry as an avenue to explore my own creative expression. What is one cool thing about working at The Grand?: Through my work at The Grand, I’m able to meet a variety of interesting artists and the most exciting part can be making connections between those artists and the local community through outreach and other unique collaborations. Shawna played a key role in planning Kevin Spencer's residency, Hocus Focus, that took place in Oshkosh last week. She's worked at The Grand for 10 years, and we're happy to have her on our team!

We had the pleasure of welcoming Kevin Spencer to Oshkosh for his residency "Hocus Focus" last week. Kevin visited the Oshkosh Area School District, The Boldt Company, Fox Valley Technical College, and Mercy Medical Center to highlight the educational and therapeutic benefits of magic. Thank you to the Boldt Company, the Arts Midwest Touring Fund, the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation, and the John. E. Kuenzl Foundation for making this residency possible!

The blockbuster Broadway hit, bursts with humor, romance, high-energy dancing, and some of the greatest songs in musical theater history. The romantic and comic exploits of Dolly Gallagher-Levi, turn-of-the-century matchmaker and “woman who arranges things,” are certain to thrill and entertain audiences again and again. The show’s memorable songs include “Put On Your Sunday Clothes,” “Ribbons Down My Back,” “Before the Parade Passes By,” “Hello, Dolly!,” “Elegance,” and “It Only Takes a Moment.” This Lourdes Academy production features 31 students from freshman through seniors in our cast, 18 students in our crew running lights, sound and all the behind the scenes fun, and 25 students in the orchestra providing the music you hear from the pit.
