Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us Elena Hoarau Davis! We agree, it's totally worth it :) "Climbing as a family brings a new perspective to the traditional purpose of climbing. Flashing that first problem or conquering that V15 is replaced by the unexplainable sensation of placing that child size 5 climbing shoe on the perfect foot hold or watching those tiny fingers crimp the slightest finger hold. At that specific moment it's not about you anymore. It's about taking your heart for climbing and instilling it in another human being. It's about gifting the love of climbing. One day, that small person will shine and achieve their own moments of climbing glory. Then the time will come for them to pass on the torch to carry on this community and legacy of climbers. It takes time, patience, sacrifice, repetition, strength, motivation, and dedication to teach a child. Aren't those all qualities that define a good climber? You may climb a little less hard for a while as you take on the teacher role. So what? There is no greater gift. It's worth every bonding, loving, teaching, struggling, overcoming, achieving, selfless parenting moment. You are sharing the rocks and enjoying nature with the ones you love. That's family climbing. #we❤️madrock"
