Sooooo after all the Facebook debate/back and forth, I've decided to go back to the O.G. logo and just give her a small face lift. I just couldn't leave well enough alone and I kept coming back to the 2nd design every time I sat down at my computer. I was advised by several professionals, and my wife, that when it comes to logos/brands - sometimes less is more (for printing purposes and readability). I struggled with this advice so I researched the most famous and notable logos in US history. Not only are the majority of them circles but they are also mostly super simple! Usually just simple letters or a symbol (apple, nike, IBM, pepsi, etc.). Anyhow, here it is....again, LOL.

Got the top and bottom installed today. Up next is prep work and paint. My design consultant is thinking about off white, with grey accents and maybe a little distressing. What do you guys think?
