During the past week, flyers and mailings have been distributed to businesses and residents throughout Sandpoint falsely representing views and policies of Mayor Shelby Rognstad. Residents are asked to notify the Sandpoint Police Department if they have received a flyer or have further information by calling 263-1482. This matter is currently under investigation.

CITY BRANCH CLEANUP WEEK City-wide branch pickup is scheduled for the week of April 24 - 28th. People make arrangements for pickup by calling Dyan at the City Shop at 263-3428 Monday - Friday between 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Branches must not exceed 2 inches in diameter and all branches must be piled lengthwise in the street along the curb with your pre-assigned number. Branches placed on the lawn will not be picked up, nor will leaves. As you are out trimming your branches, don't forget to prune branches that will overhang sidewalks.

City crews have been out today clearing snow and slush build up from storm drains. The weather forecast is predicting more rain into tonight and Friday and the National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for our area through Saturday. Residents and business owners are asked to also assist with keeping storm drains clear to prevent flooding. The City has sand and bags available for any residents or businesses experiencing flooding concerns to fill and take. The sand, bags and shovels are at the Sandpoint Fire Station at 1123 Lake Street. Our street crews will return to work at 4 am Friday to continue working to clear basins and storm drains.

Our City streets crew has been out today clearing drains with an eye out to the weather forecast which calls for rain late tonight. The streets are getting more narrow with the snow accumulation and crews will be pushing back the berms in the upcoming days. Please stay tuned to our page for further announcements.
