Recess\SF
Description
Alternative art space for projects, performances, collaboration, and experimentation located in the Mission District of San Francisco. Recess\SF was founded as a home for alternative projects, experimental collaboration, and offbeat programming—a laboratory for unconventional happenings, and a place to explore ideas en masse. With a penchant for the ephemeral, cross-disciplinary, and experiential, R/SF actively hosts radical projects that could not exist elsewhere to foster true risk-taking among today’s cultural agitators. The space is run by Lauren Licata, Anička-Vrána Godwin, and Kaitlin Trataris as an ongoing experiment in collaborative curating and socially engaged programming.
