Crossfit StPete: Fitness for everyone! Come workout with a great community of people in a judge free zone.  At StPete Complete Fitness, we believe in fundamentally improving peoples’ quality of life as the surest way to increased strength and conditioning. Our Coaches accomplish this by planning and implementing a unique functional fitness program and promoting a lifestyle that makes our Members undeniably healthier, faster, and stronger.

We offer several levels of custom programming for children, beginners, and competitors; nutritional advice; an engaging community of like-minded people; and the best equipment available, all oriented toward improved quality of life through strength and conditioning.

Our workouts are coached one-on-one or in a small group. They include an always changing combination of strength training, Olympic lifting, body-weight exercises, running, and rowing. This is functional fitness.

No matter your age or current fitness level, we’ll teach you how to use your whole body to become faster, stronger, and more fit. Each workout is adjusted for the individual member's fitness limitations and goals.

Our program offers a different workout everyday to challenge you while our certified trainers and coaches hold you accountable to your goals and help you achieve greater fitness and health.

One way to optimize the #800gChallenge is to maximize the diversity of your choices. Maximize the nutrient diversity and keep things interesting by incorporating a broad array of fruits and vegetables. Also look at long-term diversity: instead of eating the same six items every day, what kind of variety can you get across the days? And for the days you can't hit diversity - that is ok! This month’s Transformation Story is truly inspirational! I can honestly say it is one of our most impressive and relatable story we have had! Ashley McCormick has been with us a short time but has mad a huge impact in not only her life but so many others!!! Thank you Ashley for being such a Motivator and Role Model to so many!!! Here is her story: My journey with Crossfit St.Pete began when I hit my rock bottom. I was overweight, depressed and had a drinking problem. I was about to lose everyone and everything I cared about. One day I woke up and said no more. I decided I needed to find a new path in life, I knew I needed to completely change everything. So I moved to St.Pete into a residential treatment program. After researching numerous ideas to "get fit" I came across Crossfit and it seemed like a great option. Crossfit St.Pete came up as the closest location. This gym miraculously was literally right behind the residence I would be staying in, I believe it was an act of God. From the moment I spoke with Owner and Coach, Christopher Hays, on the phone I knew this would be the place for me. Having never done crossfit before I was intimidated, would I fit in? Would I be able to perform the movements? After my first foundations class I was relieved and completely hooked. Everyone was so welcoming and nice, there were scaling options and this was way more than I could have even expected. I began classes right away and came to realize that this was not just a gym, this was an amazing community, a sport, a lifestyle. These coaches became my mentors, these athletes became my friends. I had a new found passion in life. I committed to working out at least five days a week and after doctor Joesph Matlese's health seminar, I successfully altered my diet. The coaches here truly care, they build you up, push you to your max and are just looking out to make you can achieve the best you personally can. Over the next few months I felt myself transform. I was not only gaining physical strength and shedding fat but mentally I was building myself into the person I wanted to be. Words cannot express how much this place means to me. Crossfit St.Pete is a place you can go where people know your name and are glad to see you. Where no matter what shape, size, age or walk of life you come from you will fit in. The best part of my day is when I finish my workout at the box, no other feeling can match that sense of accomplishment and personal pride! What was your biggest challenge in all of this and what are you most excited about heading into the future with CrossFit St. Pete? The biggest challenge for me was trying to go through all of this while becoming sober for the first time and living in a rehab, but it turns out this is exactly what I needed to get me through that point and I will NEVER look back. I am excited to further my growth as a crossfitter and I want to compete! This is my new life. Crossfit St.Pete will always be my home and I plan on being here for many years to come 🙂

May Member of the Month Hans Mathre It’s that time again!!!! Time for the Cross Fit St. Pete Members of the Month!!! Join me in giving a well-deserved CrossFit St. Pete Congratulations to the May Member of the Month Hans Mathre. Hans is one of our newest members but he is making some big strides in a short period of time. Hans consistently comes on average 6 times a week and this consistency and dedication is paying off big time! He has a desire to learn and improve and he is also not afraid of attempting any challenge a coach gives him. Hans has become a great motivator and healthy role model not only to the members of Crossfit St. Pete but also to his son Jens who works out with our Crossfit St. Pete family a couple days a week? When I wasn't getting any better with the limited workouts that I was doing at Orange Theory. I learned about CrossFit from Robb Wolf ages ago but never found a suitable gym. What is your favorite CrossFit workout or movement? Honestly I hate them all, but in the end they all have made me feel and perform better. What I your favorite milestone you’ve reached so far @CFSP? Right now I'm sticking to getting 6 workouts a week and seeing how much better I am in a few more months. I've never cared too much about my weight or figure, just looking forward to feeling better in my body. What is something interesting about you? I'm the youngest of seven. What is the perfect song to play during your workout? Anything but the gansta rap that Brian keeps playing (just kidding). I would need to find something in the Moby, Chemical Brothers, or Daft Punk.
