What’s happening at McCormick Park? In 2016, the Oregon Parks & Recreation Department (Oregon State Parks) awarded the City of St. Helens with a $15,810 grant through their Local Government Grant Program to install a new covered picnic shelter at McCormick Park. St. Helens Public Works crews are working to pour the cement foundation today. This will be the second covered shelter available to use and reserve at McCormick Park. The shelter will be 24 ft. x 30 ft. and is located between the playground area and restrooms. A paved sidewalk will lead from the parking lot to the covered shelter and the City plans to eventually install water and electrical connections.
