Hey all, Sorry that I have been absent all week. This is the sickest I have been in years. The flu is wicked this year and it has smacked us square in the face. I made the announcement at the beginning of the week to stay away from the school if you were coming down with anything. Unfortunately that included myself, Mr. Starnes, Mrs. Cozart, and a handful of others. SO what to do about testing next week? If you don't feel ready to test because of fluctuating attendance due to the flu, I will allow people to test later the following week. We may even just do it in class due to the nature of the issue. Please get back in touch with me if this is something you would want to do. I will still have testing next week. Its not cancelled. I'm just opening the door to allow some of you to get in a few more classes and test informally due to the problem we are facing. Additionally, any instructor that needed to re certify has until the end on February now to complete their recert. Its hard to re certify when 2 of the guys responsible for it are out sick for an entire week. I hope this helps all of you. I am sending out the invitations to our regional tournament later today. We are hosting this for 17 schools in our region and it will be held at Northside High School on St. Patrick's Day. That's March 17th. Be well Abbott

Attention all students! The deadline to be signed up for testing is tomorrow at 8pm! The February testing itself is still 3 full weeks away so there is plenty of time to finish getting those last few stripes on your belt before the actual testing date. If you need the link for testing sent to you again, please contact me at info@roanoketkd.com and I will get it back out to you. I am worried that with switching to our new email program, some of you are not getting the reminders. I have therefore put this on Facebook in hopes of catching you before tomorrow. Don't miss your chance to test! The next promotional testing isn't until April!

Jedi Camp: Day 2

Hey Guys and Girls, The first day of Jedi Camp was awesome. We made lightsabers, chose our design, size, and colors. Then we trained how to use them! It was so cool. Then we watched Episode 1. There was dodgeball, nerf battles, and other games as well. If you missed out and still want to join camp just keep reading. The remainder of camp is now only $200! Thats Thursday and Friday of this week and then Tuesday - Friday of next week from 7:30am - 2pm! And we are going to the movies next Friday!! You can't get the special edition t-shirt {maybe} but you still get the next 6 camp days, a lightsaber made by you, and the move next Friday! Space is limited because I only have so many lightsabers I can create with my supplies. Literally! I can only make so many with what I have left. Email me ASAP if you are interested. This is open to the public so tell your friends! Tomorrow I will be bringing a 2nd television so that my Younglings can watch the cartoon Start Wars Rebels and Clone Wars while my bigger Padawans watch Episode 2.
