Methodist Health System opened its latest expansion in North Texas located in Richardson at the southeast corner of Renner Road and President George Bush Highway. The new 125-bed, four-story Methodist Richardson Medical Center offers enhanced health care services to residents in Richardson, Garland, Murphy, Plano, Sachse, Wylie, and surrounding areas.

Being a nurse was always something that interested Methodist Richardson’s Ramiah Philip, BSN, RN. After earning her nursing degrees in her native India, Ramiah started out in med-surg but was quickly introduced to the cardiac cath lab, where she found her true calling. She says she loves everything about working cath lab cases, especially when she gets to learn new procedures like TAVR® and Watchman™. Ramiah came to the U.S. with her husband in 2011. Methodist is the only health system she has ever worked for. She worked first in Methodist Charlton’s cath lab before moving to Methodist Richardson three years ago. When Ramiah’s not working, she loves spending time with friends and family. She is married with two kids, ages 4 and 6. Make sure to check out Spirit every week to see a new Name With a Face!
