As a reminder to our customers and community, Walmart’s solicitation policy clearly states that “to provide a neutral environment for our customers and members, political solicitation and or distribution of literature by individuals, groups and organizations is prohibited at all times and under all circumstances anywhere on Walmart’s property, unless state law requires otherwise.” There is no Colorado state law to the contrary. While Walmart respects individuals’ freedom of speech and assembly, the United States Supreme Court and the Colorado Supreme Court repeatedly have made clear that Walmart has the property right to set restrictions on the time, place, and manner that third-parties may access its property. Any groups in violation of Walmart’s solicitation policy, including petition signature gathers, will be asked to leave our property.
