It's a pool party! When the call comes for volunteers and no one shows the City of Portsmouth steps in to help paint the pool. Pool is scheduled to open June 10, 2017 provided we get lifeguards. Keep your fingers crossed.

Old and dangerous playground equipment. The slide went into the ground delivering a child into a hole two feet deep. The old playground equipment was not maintained and did not meet today's safety standards. May 25, 2017. Mound Park renovation 2017!!!!

Look out Mound Park here we come! Foundation to an old spring mounted animal ride which was cut off years ago and removed. For some reason the foundation was left. It was a trip hazard and if someone fell they could have been cut. It's gone now. May 24, 2017.

Mound Park improvements are underway! Tree overhanging tennis courts - soon to be pickle-ball courts was dropping tree stuff on the courts and the lack of sunshine was allowing the courts to grow slick algae which was dangerous to the players. City crews trimmed a couple of branches and we are on our way. May 24, 2017.

Scioto County Land Reutilization Corporation meeting today, May 25, 2017. Five blighted and abandoned houses down in Portsmouth with a sixth on the way. A better day is coming.
