Happy Earth Day! Did you know that Casco Bay Lines runs on a biodiesel mix with ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel? Biodiesel is a renewable fuel made from traditional ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel and recycled fats and oils from local restaurants? We work with Portland-based Maine Standard Biofuels who sources used cooking oil from restaurants around Portland to make their biodiesel. Because we are so connected to the sea, we try to do our part to reduce our environmental impact. How did you celebrate Earth Day?
