Fort Worden is proud to welcome new fawns to our resident deer herd! These beautiful babies are adorable to observe! Please remember keep a respectful distant. If you see a fawn that appears orphaned, please do not touch or move it. To reduce the risk of a predator locating her fawn, a doe will often keep it hidden away while bedding/foraging. Report the time/location of the sighting to a park ranger. They will monitor the fawn until Mom returns and, if a problem arises, engage the Dept. of Fish and Wildlife. Thank you for helping to steward our native fauna!
