September is Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) Awareness Month and today has been designated as White Sock Day. Speare Memorial Hospital physicians, clinicians, and staff are participating in The Save A Leg, Save A Life Foundation’s White Sock Campaign to help raise awareness of PAD, #diabetes, and the prevention of #amputation and early detection through one simple tool: a white sock. #DocsInSocks #WhiteSockCampaign

Thanks to the Speare Memorial Hospital team members from Materials Management, #Registration, #Volunteer Services and #Marketing for representing Speare at the 8th Annual CADY (Communities for Alcohol- and Drug-free Youth) Inc. #MiniGolf #fundraiser. 100% of the proceeds from this event will be dedicated to the operation of CADY's nationally-recognized LAUNCH Youth #Entrepreneurship Program to help provide year-round skill building, #mentoring, and summer #employment to over 250 local youth.

Since its inception in 2005, LAUNCH has provided year-round skill building, mentoring, and summer employment to over 250 local youth.

Wear white socks for PAD Awareness!

We're proud to sponsor the #MakingStridesAgainstBreastCancer #BreastCancer Walk in Laconia on October 22nd.

Members of the #Volunteer Outreach and #Scholarship Committee are in their fourth week of Speare Memorial Hospital's new program of delivering carnations each weekday to #patients on the inpatient unit. #Flowers are purchased weekly from The Flowersmiths in Plymouth and are arranged and delivered by volunteers. Funds will be raised for this program on September 9th with a yard sale and bake sale held in the north lot of the hospital (part of the Plymouth NH Town Wide Yard Sale for Homes 4 Our Veterans).
