Welcome to Pinehurst! Check us out at http://www.pinehurst.com Pinehurst is America's largest and most storied golf resort with nine championship courses. Built in 1895 by James Walker Tufts, Pinehurst was originally a health resort for New Englanders looking to escape the harsh winters. Donald Ross built the first course in 1901 and the rest, as they say, is history. Pinehurst has been the site of every major Championship including the Ryder Cup, U.S. Open, U.S. Amateur and PGA Championship. In 2014 Pinehurst hosted the U.S. Open and U.S. Women's Open Championships in back-to-back weeks.

Need some Monday motivation? Ben Hogan's first professional win is one of the most inspiring Pinehurst stories: http://www.pinehurst.com/about/ben-hogan-pinehurst-legend-born/ "They’ve kidded me about practicing so much. I’d go out there before a round and practice, and when I was through I’d practice some more. Well, they can kid me all they want because it finally paid off. I know it’s what finally got me in the groove to win.” Photo copyright Tufts Archives.
