Cooperative Foster Care Network
Description
A network of foster homes in Columbia and Dutchess counties of NY who work together to rescue, foster, spay-neuter and re-home cats and kittens in need. We decided to make an Amazon wishlist for the upcoming holidays. Since we recently had a huge intake of kittens we are always in need of things. Here is a bunch of stuff we commonly use. Feel free to take a peek and if there is anything you would like to purchase for us follow the steps they give you. Spread the word and share with anyone you want. Thank you and the kitties thank you as well.

facebook.comWe love to hear from our adopters. Here's a recent note from the adopters of Maizee and Ragamuffin. "Hello! The cats are wonderful! We have absolutely fallen in love with them :) We did rename them, Satsuki (ragamuffin) and Mei (maizee) (it's the names of two sisters in one of our favorite movies, My Neighbor Totoro). I've gotten a few pictures of Mei, but Satsuki is a little harder, her favorite spots have been in darker places, and my phone doesn't have a flash for its camera. They are so well behaved, the entire ride home, we couldn't get over how quiet and calm they were, it was a very nice surprise. We saw their energy as soon as we got home though; Satsuki loves to play with my son and the little laser toy, she follows it up and down the halls, running all over the place. Mei on the other hand, seems to like more toys attached to strings, and she has chosen my kids room to hang out most of the time. Hope everything is well. I am so happy we found your organization and the cats, they really are so special and you have taken such good care of them. Thank you again."

Ok we have a situation. We were contacted by the owner of a local restaurant. He has some feral cats, about 6 or so living outside but now it's become a health issue because they are urinating on the building and it is seeping into the restaurant. They need to be relocated. We will make sure that they are fixed, tested and vaccinated before they are rehomed. If anyone has a barn situation for a couple of these ferals or know someone who might be looking for some please let us know. Ferals are great mousers and ask for very little in return but food and a warm barn to lay their head. Please contact Cooperative Cats at 518-398-0364. Time is of the essence, we would like to move them before the health department steps in and has "other" plans for them.

This 3 legged guy was found in Salt Point in the vicinity of the Stewart's. He was found back in October and the lady that found him kept him through the holidays hoping an owner would turn up. She contacted our rescue Cooperative Foster Care Network in hopes of placing him. Before we do I'd like to make one final plea and see if his owner is out there. We get a lot of abandoned cats but never ones that have had their leg amputated. That's a very costly surgery so I'm hoping he's just lost. I'm going to try to get him to our vet this week for testing and vaccine boosters. If this is your cat please contact Jessica at 518-398-0364. We are trying to find a foster for this guy while we try to place him. He will be fully vetted and tested prior to placing in foster home. If you'd like to foster this "Red headed stepchild" as the lady that found him refers to him as please let us know. Or perhaps you have room in your heart and home for a permanent 3 legged resident.

Ben and Jerry got to stay together and went off to their new home in Kingston. Enjoy it boys, you went from living under a cold building to having your own warm house and all the food you want. Another happy adoption!

Thanks to everyone that shared. This girl got a temporary foster home until her owner finds a new place and can take her back. Happy ending.
